Boycott Japan!
A few weeks ago, Japan released a law that whaling would be allowed in Japan for scientific reasons. Now the main whale around the Japenese waters, the minke whale has a population, in those waters, is around 25,000 which may seem like alot but out of all the areas they are known to inhabit, 7, only one of them has a population lower than that area. You may be thinking that if in the other areas there population is large then it doesnt matter well that may be true but if Minke numbers started declining the whole food web would as well. In the last few years, the government have started whaling more than 800 whales have been caught and 133 whales were pregnant whales. This is totally unacceptable and so please show that you do not support Japan by putting a whale next to your name on whatever social media you have and spread the word!!! šš

Litter is a major problem, just a few hours ago, I saw a seaull eating a plastic lid – luckily Aya, a devoted member to make a change, managed to stop it from eating too much of it – thanks Aya! Although Plastic bags have been taxed by up to 10p and usage has fallen by so much, there is still so much work to do about cleaning up and stopping the destruction of one of the most diverse places on earth, the Ocean.
